Mpeg 4 Video

October 30, 11

As you are probably aware, if interested in using a Mac, iPhone or iPad to watch video, mp4 video file uploads have been resumed. The files are specified to work well with iPads and also work well on the iPhone. Of course if you have an Android phone you should be able to use these files also. The Mp4 format is of higher quality than Flash of comparable size.

Mp4's, Streaming Audio and August

August 04, 11

If you have been watching the streaming, live streaming and the flash video via the links on the "Latest" page you will have noticed poor audio quality, we apologize. This is being worked on and is believed to be a piece of failing equipment. A replacement is on the way.

The Mac OS MP4 video is going away due to little interest. If you disagree please email (by following the help link above) to let us know. Mobile phone format "3gp" video is under consideration as a replacement. This would work on most smart phones, not just Apple devices, and would be a considerably smaller file allowing easier viewing over 3G smart phone data connections. So, you could watch Chuck at the dentist while waiting for you appointment!

The Media section in August may not be updated in a timely manner, however I will do my best. If you or someone you know in the church would possibly like to work in the Media Library ministry please stop by or email!

Media Section Redesign

April 04, 11

The media section has been updated to allow easier navigation to both new and archived content. There is now QuickTime compatible video for Mac, iPad, iPod and iPhone users. There are new pages for Women's events, Saturday services, Legacy Ministries events, and others.

Video for the services is archived for two or three months.  Further past that, services are archived off-site if needed. Please have a look around!

Safari, iPhone Quicktime Support

March 10, 11

We are beginning to offer Quicktime compatible video which will play on a Mac, iPhone and in the Safari web browser. This video can be "fast-forwarded" so to speak. You can move forward using the controls. When using Safari the video will take much less than a minute to start. With the iPhone you will need to tap the play button to start. This has not been tested over 3G, maybe you can do that? ;-)

Internet Explorer Video Page Fixed

March 08, 11

If you have been using IE 8 and trying to view archived live video you either scrolled way down or might have thought the site was broken. That page was broken, only in IE 8, but the video did still work.

The problem has been fixed now and the page works normally.

No service Wednesday the 23rd and Sunday the 27th

February 27, 11

...of February 2011, due to inclement weather. Please browse the Media section (links above) to listen to archived audio or watch archived video of services.

God Bless, be safe!

Live Streaming Wednesday Feb 2nd

February 06, 11

Apologies for Wednesday February the 2nd. Live streaming was not available. The service will be on-line late Sunday afternoon on the 6th.

This time the issue was determined to be power setttings for the USB port. Somehow the settings were changed to enable sleep mode, which turned of the video capture device.  Most likely this was caused by an update from Microsoft.

Video Streaming Update

January 09, 11

Apologies are in order for the latest hiccup today.  It has been discovered that simply moving the streaming program window to a second screen (in a dual monitor setup for the media server) causes the streaming program to crash. This is very unexpected behavior but has been noted and a big ole note pasted on the wall to warn against repeating the mistake!

It should be noted that when a hiccup occurs, which will cause a blank in the recording, we will then pull video from the recorded DVD. This means there will be little or no worship available for that recording.
